One of the reasons I'm super excited about this course is because one of the origin stories of the metal singing bowls comes from ancient China, from the Shang Dynasty. This is the Dynasty of my heritage -- I'm a direct decendent of this Dynasty. The capital at that time was Yin (my maiden name) and when they fled, they took the capital as their name. My Dad remembers his grandfather coming to the house with a small Rin bowl that fit in the palm of this hand and wooden fish.
